An Informal Outline of the Story

Narration tells a story by presenting events in a logical and orderly sequence.

1. First, this happened.
2. Second, this happened.
3. Third, this happened.
4. Fourth (Last), this happened.

First, pick a topic. It doesn't have to be from the topics list. Any story will fit as long as it is two pages. Think of a topic that grabs your attention. Maybe it was funny. Maybe it was serious.

The Point is to get started. Do something. Do anything. Just keep it legal.

It may be helpful to think of your topic as beginning, middle, and end, each section its own paragraph. Too, it may be helpful to think of your topic as event 1, event 2, event 3, etc., each event its own paragraph.

Include enough details to make the story real.

Keep the narrative in chronological order what happened first, what happened second, what happened next, what happened last.
